Deputy Chief Bellamy oversees the Operations Division, which includes: Bike Unit, Consolidated Bomb Squad, Follow-Up & Special Enforcement Team (FUSE), Honor Guard, Horse Mounted Unit, K9, Patrol, SWAT, and Traffic.
DC Bellamy joined the Sparks Police Department in August 1998. Over the course of his career, he worked in Patrol, S.W.A.T., the Repeat Offender Program, Detectives, and Internal Affairs. Deputy Chief Bellamy earned a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia Southern University and is a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP). Prior to his employment with the Sparks Police, Deputy Chief Bellamy served seven years in the United States Army.
