The City of Sparks has launched a new online performance dashboard, giving residents an easy way to see how City departments are performing and delivering services to the community.
The dashboard provides key performance measures from many city departments, including Police, Fire, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Community Services. Additional department performance measures will be added in the next few months.
Much of the dashboard displays real-time data, giving residents access to the most current information available. Users can also customize the data by selecting different time periods, making it easy to view trends and compare performance over time.
Residents can view metrics such as emergency response times for Police and Fire calls, hiring and recruitment statistics, building permit activity, customer service performance, and other operational data. The dashboard compares each department's performance against established targets, allowing the public to see where goals are being met and where improvement efforts are underway.
The City developed the dashboard to provide greater insight into municipal operations and help residents better understand the services their local government provides. By making performance data publicly available, the City aims to build trust, improve accountability and support informed decision-making.
