Welcome to the Human Resources Department’s webpage. The City of Sparks employs nearly 700 employees, which includes both full and part time positions. The City of Sparks is a great place to work and offers competitive salaries and benefits.
The Human Resources Department is an integral division that promotes the City’s strategic and tactical goals with professional HR expertise. The HR team strives to provide professional Human Resources support to the City’s Departments to ensure they have the talent and resources needed to provide City services. The HR team supplies a full-range of human resources services including recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, policy development, performance management, employee relations, leave administration, as well as citywide training and professional development.

Please note that while HR does open at 7am Monday through Thursday and 8am on Fridays, City Hall does not open until 9am. Please call ahead and schedule an appointment if you need to be seen before 9am to ensure someone can let you into the building.
