Shonna Halterman joined the City of Sparks in March 2025. She has 30 years of experience in local government, most recently as the City of Clovis, California, General Services Director overseeing Personnel, Risk Management, Labor Relations, Facilities Maintenance, Purchasing, Senior Services, Recreation, and Public Transit.
Shonna has a bachelor's degree in Communication and a master’s degree in Public Administration. She leads the talented team of human resources department professionals who provide services and support to all Sparks employees and departments. Shonna and her husband are thrilled to join the Sparks community and enjoy the beauty of Northern Nevada.
