The Sparks Code Enforcement Department helps maintain and improve the quality of our community by administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program of the zoning ordinance and related chapters of the municipal code.

About Us
The Sparks Code Enforcement Officers enforce regulations related to the following:
- Zoning ordinance requirements for structures (such as use and location) and land use requirements
- Weeds on private property
- Signs, including signs in the public right-of-way, failure to have required permits, illegal inflatable displays, etc.
- Garage Sales
- Temporary Use Permits
- Temporary Sign Permits
- Home Occupation Permits
- Disabled vehicles on private property
- Blight on private properties (i.e., old furniture, car parts, appliances, etc.)
- Parking on unpaved or unapproved areas
- RV parking/storage on private property
- Illegal dumping
