The Sparks Planning Commission meets 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month; study sessions on Tuesday preceding regular meeting.

Time: Regular meetings take place at 6:00 p.m. / Study Sessions take place at 12:00 p.m.

Location: Sparks City Hall Legislative Council Chambers, 745 4th Street, Sparks.

Purpose: To review and submit recommendations for approval/disapproval by the City Council for:  a) Tentative subdivision maps; b) Rezoning Cases; c) Annexations; d) Master Plan Amendments; d) Title 20 Zoning Ordinance changes; f) Regional Plans that concern Sparks

Appointing Authority: Sparks City Council

Number of Appointees: 7 voting members, 4-year term (staggered term).

Qualifications: 

Must be residents of the City of Sparks and registered to vote Cannot be an elected official

Chair and Vice Chair elected by the Commission, at the beginning of each calendar year, held for 1 year.

Can be reappointed for 2 consecutive terms.
