Sparks Fire Department reviews plans for all new developments, commercial, and industrial buildings located within the City of Sparks. Requirements are established for such developments utilizing the international Fire Code, local Municipal Codes and nationally recognized standards to provide a high degree of life safety and property protection.  Common requirements include the installation of fire hydrants, automatic fire sprinkler systems, and early warning fire detection systems.  All building plans are submitted through the City of Sparks Building Department and routed to the Fire Department.
