The City of Sparks Civil Service Commission meets on the second Wednesday of January, April, July and October

Time: All meetings take place at 5:30 p.m.

Location: City of Sparks Legislative Building, 745 Fourth Street.

Purpose: Provide qualified applicants for employment and to protect the employee from discrimination or unfair treatment.

Governing Authority: City of Sparks Ordinance No. 1505 adopted July 8, 1985

Appointing Authority:  Appointed by the Mayor, Affirmed by Council.

Number of Appointees: Five (5) Appointees, 3-year terms.

Qualifications: Members must be Sparks Residents and cannot be City employees or related to one within 3rd degree of consanguinity. Must take an oath of office.
